Payne & Fears Recovers Excess Insurance to End Long-running Dispute

Payne & Fears (P&F) resolved the final piece of a long-running dispute involving excess insurance coverage for a homebuilder. This complex claim involved numerous layers of excess insurance stretching over many years. After successfully concluding litigation with underlying excess carriers, P&F, after filing suit, was able to successfully recover from the last remaining excess insurance policies. P&F overcame the coverage defenses and convinced the insurer to indemnify claims that were more than 15 years old.  Despite the complicated nature of long-tail insurance claims, P&F executed a recovery strategy that resulted in an early settlement, saving the client significant legal fees while not compromising on the end result.
