Richard Zepfel concentrates his practice on business transactions and employment law counseling. Rich has extensive experience handling corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and major contracts.
Rich handles real estate matters including acquisitions and leasing of commercial and industrial properties. His employment law practice includes preparation and negotiation of executive employment agreements, executive compensation plans and equity incentives, separation/severance agreements, and employee handbooks.
Background
Rich enjoys being a problem solver for his clients who are often entering into complex business transactions for the first time. His clients rely on him to consider their objectives carefully and design strategies to efficiently achieve those goals.
Before joining Payne & Fears, Rich was the managing partner of the Orange County office of Graham & James LLP, and previously an associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker.
When not practicing law, Rich spends his time playing ice hockey (poorly), traveling to the Olympics, ocean kayaking and generally goofing off.
