As of February 1, 2014, Payne & Fears LLP officially promoted Nathan (Nate) Cazier of the firm’s Irvine office, and Matthew Durham of the Las Vegas office, to partner.
“We are extremely pleased to elevate Nate and Matt to partner positions,” said founder and managing partner Dan Fears. “They are both highly skilled attorneys who will continue their strong contributions to the firm and our clients.”
Nate practices insurance and business litigation with experience representing developers, general contractors, and title companies with various issues including breach of contract, real estate, employment, construction defect and wrongful death claims. He received his J.D. from Pepperdine School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from Utah State University. Prior to college Nate served as an Interrogator and Human Intelligence Collector for the United States Army and was an Honor Graduate of the U.S. Military Intelligence School.
Matt’s practice concentrates on employment and business litigation matters in both state and federal court, including employment discrimination and harassment, wrongful terminations, business torts, commercial contract disputes, real property disputes and construction defect. Prior to joining Payne & Fears, he was an associate at Winstead Sechrest & Minick in Dallas, Texas, where he focused on complex civil litigation. Matt received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University.
