Ray represents clients in a wide range of employment matters in court and before administrative agencies. Ray also counsels employers on various labor and employment issues—including complying with federal and state laws.

In law school, Ray was a Senior Editor on the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice, co-President of USC’s Federalist Society student chapter, and participated in the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project.
“We are pleased to welcome Raymond to our firm’s growing Employment Practice Group,” said Amy Patton, Chair of Payne & Fears LLP’s Employment Law Group. “We are confident his clerkship at the U.S. District Court – Central District will prove valuable to our client and litigation teams.”

What activities do you enjoy outside of work?
I’m a huge sports fan. I live a little too vicariously through my teams—the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers. My college sports allegiances are too complicated for this blurb. A week after I took the bar, I won Sports Jeopardy!—twice.
What are three words to describe Payne & Fears LLP?
Accomplished, determined, team-centered.
People would be surprised if they knew?
I interned at President Ronald Reagan’s Rancho Del Cielo in college, and I gave tours of his home.
