Payne & Fears LLP is pleased to announce that Randy R. Haj has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a senior associate within the Business Litigation Group. He was previously at Wilson Elser.
Randy has worked as a commercial litigator practicing in state and federal court focusing on insurance coverage and general dispute resolution.
Randy served as a law clerk for two years for several judges at the Los Angeles Superior Court, including a clerkship with Judge Luis A. Lavin (now Justice Lavin of California’s Second District Court of Appeals). During his time at the Superior Court, Randy gained substantial experience providing recommended decisions to the court on writs of mandate and dispositive motions on substantive issues covering the full range of California law.
Randy earned his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2012, where he graduated magna cum laude, and his B.A. from Gonzaga University in 2009, where he graduated cum laude.

What activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I’m an avid backpacker, traveler, and fan of the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers.

During law school, I completed a six-month externship in Melbourne, Australia, living Down Under while working for the local office of an international law firm.
