Job Description

Payne & Fears is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate, with an emphasis on insurance coverage and bad faith. The candidate must be licensed in either California or Nevada and can work from either our Irvine, California office or our Las Vegas, Nevada office. The candidate should have at least two years of litigation experience, including experience with insurance coverage and bad faith matters. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, efficient, possess a strong client service mindset as well as the ability to manage multiple clients, matters, and competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate insurance coverage on behalf of policyholders
  2. Draft and argue motions
  3. Advise clients regarding insurance coverage and strategy
  4. Enhance client relationships and personal brand through marketing and business development activities

Qualifications

  1. Licensed to practice in California or Nevada and in good standing with the California or Nevada bar
  2. Excellent academics
  3. Strong written communication/analytic skills
  4. Excellent courtroom demeanor
  5. Highly organized
  6. Detail oriented
  7. Willingness to accept constructive feedback

The salary range for this position is $160,000 – $250,000, depending on experience.
