Job Description

Payne & Fears is seeking an experienced employment law attorney for our Counsel program. This position provides an opportunity for flexible and reduced billable hours from our standard Associate position. The minimum hours expectation is 1200 – 1500 hours annually. This is a non-partner track position.

The preferred location for this role is in our Irvine office, but we will consider candidates in our other offices as indicated in this announcement. This is a hybrid position requiring three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

This role will primarily assist with litigation and pre-litigation employment matters. A minimum of three full years of private sector, California employment law experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess very strong academics, a client service mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple clients, matters, and competing deadlines.

Salary Range

The potential salary range for this position is highly variable and will depend on several factors, including prior experience, accomplishments, the negotiated billable hours requirement, and geographic location. The anticipated range is $130,000-$240,000, depending upon the circumstances.
