Brian Shaw has joined Payne & Fears LLP as an Associate in the firm’s Employment Litigation Group. Brian focuses his practice on commercial litigation, business disputes, and employment law, including wage-and-hour violations, discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims.
Before joining Payne & Fears, Brian was an associate for five years at Buchalter, where he was a member of the Products Liability and White Collar and Investigations practice groups.
Known for his attention to detail and top-notch advocacy, Brian excels in navigating complex litigated matters in state and federal courts across the country.

A History of Success
Brian helped secure a defense award in a breach of contract dispute, where he argued evidentiary motions and examined percipient and expert witnesses.
He participated in the defense of a multinational manufacturer in a two-week jury trial in the Middle District of Florida.
Brian authored a demurrer that was sustained without leave to amend on all causes of action brought in a real estate dispute.

What activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, surfing, playing beach volleyball, and riding bikes on the strand.
