Alejandro Ruiz Named to the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, OC Chapter, Board of Governors
Payne & Fears is proud to announce that Irvine Partner Alejandro “Alex” Ruiz has been named to the Board of Governors of the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL).
The ABTL was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1973 to develop a better forum for the discussion of business trials. This included an aggressive effort to promote communication between the bench and bar. The ABTL is unique in providing a forum in which litigators and judges meet together to address issues important to business trial lawyers. Judicial participation in ABTL programs and events is very strong, in part, because the ABTL includes all business litigators, including both plaintiff-focused and defense-focused practices. Today, the ABTL has five chapters across California, including Orange County.
“The ABTL is a fantastic organization of which I proudly have been a member for many years. I am very honored and excited to take on this new responsibility and to represent the firm on the board of this important organization,” Ruiz said.
Another Irvine firm partner, Tom Vincent, served on the Board of Governors for the previous six years. “Alex is a great candidate for this position. He is insightful, articulate, and enthusiastic and can provide great leadership” Vincent said.
