Elsa Robinson is the Office & Human Resources Manager at Payne & Fears LLP, serving in this position for more than a decade.

With almost 40 years in the legal industry, Elsa brings a unique level of experience to her role overseeing the day-to-day facilities and human resources operations of the firm’s six offices.

Elsa is the hub of many of the firm’s wheels, from opening new office locations to onboarding new employees. She manages the firm’s staff, creates and enforces firm policies and handbooks, coordinates vendor relationships, spearheads recruitment, and collaborates with other internal leaders on firmwide initiatives and communications. Employees of the firm look to Elsa as a “problem solver,” from attending to furniture in need of repair to standing in as back-up tech support to assisting with late night court filings to acting as a sounding board and trusted confidant. Elsa is a self-proclaimed “people pleaser,” so her greatest reward is providing her colleagues with the tools they need to succeed in their jobs.

Background

Elsa began her career at the firm in 2004 as a Litigation Paralegal supporting its busy employment litigation practice before a promotion to her current position in 2011. Elsa’s empathetic, approachable temperament paired with her composure under pressure and respect for her colleagues make her a natural fit for this role.

Prior to joining Payne & Fears, Elsa held secretary, paralegal, and managerial positions with several well-recognized law firms in Orange County, California.

Elsa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University and obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Irvine. A long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity, Elsa has volunteered her time as a Crew Leader building homes for low-income families in Orange County and was Co-Chair of one of the first Women Build homes in the county, a home nearly entirely built by women.

When not working, Elsa enjoys tackling do-it-yourself home projects, immersing herself in a challenging puzzle, and playing catch with her Maine Coon rescue cat.
