Richard K. Zepfel concentrates his practice on business transactions and employment law counseling. Rich has extensive experience handling corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and major contracts. He handles real estate matters including acquisitions and leasing of commercial and industrial properties. Rich's employment law practice includes preparation and negotiation of executive employment agreements, executive compensation plans and equity incentives, separation/severance agreements and employee handbooks.
Rich is a member and Past Chair of the Orange County Bar Association, Business and Corporations Section, and previously was a Licensed Real Estate Broker. While in law school, he served as a Notes Editor for the Southern California Law Review. Rich has served as a Trustee of Laguna College of Art and Design and President of Beckman Aquatics Boosters, and is the Past Chair of St. Cecilia’s School Board, one of the country’s best colleges for game art. Before joining Payne & Fears LLP, Rich was the managing partner of the Orange County office of Graham & James LLP, and previously an associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker.
